George Groves explains how a Ukrainian boxer should beat the British in a fight.
Oleksandr Usyk must win the fight for the title of absolute world champion. Former world champion George Groves thinks so.
In his opinion, Tyson Fury will have an advantage in size, range of motion and weight, but the Ukrainian should easily cope with it.
“Usyk is a better fighter. He is in very good shape now, he is very smart. He is the most complete fighter in the heavyweight division.
Alexander is in a sense a vintage fighter in terms of his boxing IQ, ring knowledge, and ability to manipulate his opponents. I’m a fan of Usyk. He has to deal with height, reach, size and weight against Fury, but I think he can handle it.
Of course, after the fight with Ngannou Fury had to change, because he could not come out with such strength against Usik. But maybe this is the perfect time for him to come down to earth, make changes, adapt and make the fight more competitive,” Groves said in an interview on YouTube channel Seconds Out.
We remind you that the fight between Usik and Fury will take place on February 17 in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh.
Previously, Fury said he was saving boxing from Usik’s dominance.
