Amir Khan: Fury will defeat Usik on points with a difference of five to six rounds

The ex-world champion believes the Briton’s size will be crucial

Former world light welterweight champion Amir Khan gave his forecast for the upcoming fight for the absolute title between the holder of the WBC heavyweight belt Tyson Fury and WBO/WBA/IBF/IBO champion Alexander Usik.

“I think Usyk became more confident after watching Tyson’s last fight against Ngannou. But to be honest, he has [Нганну] a style in which he poses a challenge for real boxers. He’s very unconventional.”

“However, I feel Fury is a step ahead of any fighter. His size is huge and I think this fight will be a walk in the park for him. I don’t think he will knock out Usyk, but I think it will be a good clear win on points by five or six rounds.”

The Usik-Fury fight for the title of absolute heavyweight champion will officially take place on February 17 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Initially, the event was planned to be organized on December 23. However, it later became clear that the “Gypsy King” would not have time to prepare for this time after the fight with Francis Ngannou at the end of October.

Fury defeated Ngannou via split decision. It was reported that the Briton received two cuts in a fight with the former UFC champion.

Usik fought his last fight on August 27 in Wroclaw, Poland. The Ukrainian knocked out Daniel Dubois in the 9th round and defended his championship titles.
