“We want Buatsi to fight Bivol. We made an offer to Dmitry, we hope it will suit him. However, there is no agreement yet, nothing has been signed yet,” Hearn said.
In the last fight, Bivol, 31, won Mexico’s Alvarez by unanimous decision in May, defending the WBA belt.
Buatsi, 29, has 16 fights and 16 wins in his professional career.
Previously, Bivol announced his desire to meet a compatriot in the ring Artur Beterbiev who holds the WBO, WBC, IBF titles.
