“If Edwards sets a pace that suits him, then he will find an option to stop Covington” – Rofal

Briton Leon Edwards appears a slight favorite to face the American Colby Covington . This opinion was shared with by fighter Artem Rofal, member of the team Alexandra Shlemenko .

Edwards will defend his UFC welterweight title against Covington in the main event of UFC 296 on Dec. 16 in Las Vegas. Edwards has 21 victories and three defeats, the Briton is on a streak of 11 consecutive victories in the UFC (also during the series there was a fight that was declared invalid). In his last two fights, Edwards defeated Kamaru Usman.

Covington has 17 wins and three losses in MMA. Since December 2019, the American has only fought four fights, losing twice to Usman. In his last fight, Covington defeated Jorge Masvidal in March 2022.
