Court notes released from the main event of the UFC Vegas 39 tournament – a fight in the lightweight division between Brazilian Rafael dos Anjos and Raphael Fiziev representing Azerbaijan.
Fiziev won early in the fifth round, successfully punching Dos Anjos in the jaw with his fist. After several touches on the rebound, the referee stopped the match, fixing the defeat of the Brazilian by technical knockout.
Based on the official referee’s ratings, Fiziev was the points leader – two judges gave him the first three rounds (39:37, 39:37), another referee felt that dos Anjos was stronger in the rounds 3 and 4 (38:38).

For Fiziev, 29, it is the 12th victory of his career with only one loss. Dos Anjos, 37, has a professional record of 31 wins and 14 losses.
