On December 15, as part of the weekly ONE Friday Fight series, 12 pairs of MMA and Muay Thai fighters will face off at Lumpini Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
In flyweight Muay Thai, Kyrgyzstan drummer Sherzod Kabutov will once again appear in the ONE ring. Kabutov, 24, whose background is kickboxing, has a record of 62-13. He made a good debut in ONE with a victory over Denis Puric in May 2022, but three subsequent fights against Thai fighters ended in defeat for him. All losses were awarded by decision, with one being a split decision.
Will Kabutov manage to rehabilitate himself this time, and perhaps eliminate his opponent earlier, so as not to give the judges the opportunity to decide the outcome of the fight? Kabutov’s opponent is the experienced Jaruadsuk Sor Jor Wichitpadriew, who at 23 already has a record of 75-5-10. This will be his first fight in ONE.
Four fighters with impeccable and uninterrupted records will participate in MMA. Azerbaijan’s Suleyman Suleymanov (9-0) from Anatoly Malykhin’s “Dobrynya” gymnasium will face 22-year-old Nursultan Toktorov (6-0) from Kyrgyzstan in the ONE featherweight category (70.3 kg), and Rabindra Dhant (6 -0). of Nepal will face Pakistani Ismail Khan (6-0) at ONE Flyweight (61.2 kg). In his last debut fight, Dhant defeated ONE’s first Yakut fighter, Torepchi Dongak, by technical knockout in the third round.
In the main event, Thai artist Otop and rising Turkish fighter Soner Golden Boy Sen will face off for the chance to land a six-figure contract with ONE Championship. Otop, 17, debuted with a TKO victory over Shingo Shibata in September, but was stopped by Ilyas Musaev in his last fight in October. Both fighters have previous victories at ONE Friday Fights, but this is their chance to take a step forward and start progressing towards the top level of the division.
Striking fans won’t want to miss the ONE debut of three-division Rajademnern Stadium champion Yodthongthai as he faces Lebanese Omar El Halabi at 130 pounds.
The broadcast of the ONE Friday Fights tournament will begin at 3:30 p.m. Moscow time on the channel.
