A teenager born in 2009 died during a boxing competition in Pervouralsk, reports the press service of the prosecutor’s office of the Sverdlovsk region.
The competition took place on December 16 and 17. During the final fight on Sunday, the teenager lost consciousness after missing several punches from his opponent.
Paramedics who arrived on scene attempted to take the victim to a medical facility, but the teenager died on the way before reaching the hospital.
In connection with this incident, the Pervouralsk prosecutor’s office opened an investigation: the department “will assess the application of legislation on the protection of the life and health of minors.”
An investigation has been opened into this matter, which is under the control of the public prosecutor’s office.
