Last week he bet $250,000 (22 million rubles at the current exchange rate) on the quick victory of the UFC welterweight champion, Briton Leon Edwards (22-3) over American Colby Covington (17-4). Their fight headlined the UFC 296 tournament in Las Vegas (Nevada, USA). As a result, this bet did not come to fruition.
Despite Edwards’ victory, Drake’s bet proved lost: the British fighter defeated Covington by unanimous decision.
Leon Edwards competed in 25 mixed martial arts fights, winning 22 times and losing three times.
