Frank Warren spoke about the possibility of a fight between his ward and his countryman and former champion.
Frank Warren, promoter of WBC heavyweight title holder Tyson Fury, said if a fight between his protégé and former champion Anthony Joshua is possible.
According to the functionary, AJ will have to wait for this fight, as it is not part of his client’s plans for next year.
“Joshua will have to wait for Tyson. Fury has planned his fight and his program for next year. So far Joshua is not included.
Anthony has had two chances to fight Fury – last December and this year. For some reason, these fights never took place.
We are now in a position where many big matches will be announced. It all depends on what happens on Saturday,” Warren was quoted as saying by Sky Sports.
We remind you that Joshua is scheduled to meet in the ring with Otto Wallin on December 23, and Fury is expected to fight for the title of absolute world champion with Alexander Usik on February 17, 2024.
Previously, former famous boxer Hasim Rahman said that the Joshua-Wilder fight would not happen.
