The British boxer admitted that he was inferior to the champion in at least one aspect of strength.
Daniel Dubois is finally starting to see his loss from Oleksandr Usyk. The British boxer shares his memories of losing to the WBA, WBO, IBO and IBF champion.
Now the challenger admitted that he lost to the Ukrainian fairly. And the main reason for the defeat was the insufficient speed of reaction compared to the reaction of the champion.
“I think the reason I lost was my lack of reaction time. I don’t know what to say. Any boxer at this level is a good heavyweight. So I think it was a lack of time of reaction, as well as my attitude and my physical condition ” said Dubois in an interview with TNT Sports Boxing.
Let’s remember that in August 2023, Usyk knocked out Dubois. At first, the Briton claimed that he won that fight, calling his dirty punch on the Ukrainian clean, which is why the referee had to stop the fight.
Daniel will fight his next fight on December 23 against Miller. Usik is scheduled to meet Tyson Fury on February 17.
Earlier, John Fury expressed concern about his son’s preparation for the Ukrainian fight.
