As expected, the Ukrainian boxer will fight for the title next spring in Australia.
Vasily Lomachenko has agreed to fight for the IBF world lightweight champion title against Australian George Kambosos. This was announced by the promoter of the Ukrainian boxer Bob Arum in an interview with Fight Hype.
The match will definitely take place in Australia. However, the exact place and date of its holding is still unknown. Let’s add that earlier we were talking about April 13, 2024.
Lomachenko fought his last fight in May, losing by decision to Devin Haney. As for Kambosos, after two defeats from the same Haney, the Australian successfully returned to the ring, defeating Maxie Hughes in July.
We remind you that Kambosos previously published a poster of the fight with Lomachenko.
