Athletistic/MMA. The UFC Vegas 58 tournament is held in Las Vegas. In the women’s flyweight division, the representative of Kyrgyzstan Antonina Shevchenko, the older sister of champion Valentina Shevchenko, met with American Courtney Casey. She entered the fight with Casey, losing two in a row and three of her last four fights.

A hard right hand came about halfway through the round, but she gave up on her subsequent takedown attempt. Casey tried to close in the clinch using a strong right arm, but ended up on her back when Shevchenko knocked her down.

The second round went on Shevchenko’s terms with side and high kicks. Casey tried to close in, using punches to clinch or throw for a takedown, but couldn’t. With just under 90 seconds left, Casey, at her corner’s behest, went for Shevchenko and as the round ended she landed a few hard punches.

In the third round, Casey played aggressively. She knocked down Shevchenko with just under 3 minutes left. Casey kept punching from above, but allowed Shevchenko to get up. Then she knocked her down again. Towards the end of the round, Shevchenko again managed to get up, but Casey knocked her down again.
