Promoter sees Wallin as favorite to face A.J.
Head of the promotion company Top Rank Bob Arum shared his opinion regarding the upcoming fight between the ex-world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua and Swedish heavyweight Otto Wallin.
The specialist believes that the Briton will have big problems, and backs up his opinion with AJ’s previous fights against the WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO champion Alexander Usik.
“Joshua will have a very hard time with Otto Wallin. I think Otto will beat him. I think Wallin is a truly underrated fighter.”
“Joshua’s performance has been inconsistent and he has not demonstrated the ability to fight back against his opponent. That is why Usyk was able to defeat him twice, even though he is much smaller. Joshua is not on the level of Fury, Wilder or Usyk. Usik demonstrated this.”
The fight between Joshua and Wallin has been officially confirmed as the final event of the big boxing evening on December 23 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. AJ himself is preparing for a difficult confrontation and believes that the main thing is not to lose concentration.
Joshua knocked out Robert Helenius in his last fight, which took place on August 12 in London. Anthony has also already agreed on a joint fight with Deontay Wilder on March 9, 2024. For the event to take place, both boxers must defeat their closest opponents on December 23.
Otto Wallin has won six victories in a row after his only career loss to Tyson Fury, defeating Murat Gassiev in his last fight.
