Russian boxer Shamil Khataev defended his Pravda Boxing middleweight promotion title in a fight against Pius Mpenda of Tanzania.
The fight took place at the Pravda Old School boxing tournament in Moscow and ended with Khataev’s victory by unanimous decision. Judges’ scores: 99:91, 98:93, 99:91.
In the co-main event of the evening, Russian Vladislav Tuinov defeated American Eric Moon by knockout in the first round and became the champion of the Pravda promotion at super middleweight.
In another fight of the tournament, Russian David Dzukaev defeated compatriot Abubakar Suleymanov in a rematch, winning the fight by technical knockout in the sixth round. Dzukaev defended the Pravda promotion’s championship belt in the premier heavyweight division.
