The head of Pravda Boxing, Khetag Tsopanov, said that the Serbian Alexandre Ilic in the name of momentary glory, he deliberately lied about the league’s failure to meet its financial obligations to him.
Earlier, Ilic said in an interview with that Pravda Boxing did not pay him the full amount for the boxing match against Magomed Ismailov on October 7, 2022. Ilic lost to Ismailov by decision in an unspectacular fight and was criticized by the head of the organization. The fight was not included in official boxing statistics for MMA fighters. Ilic also spoke sharply about everything related to the organization of the fight, saying that they did not buy him a plane ticket and picked up gloves in which it was impossible to make a fist.
— I wanted to have a strong tournament, I didn’t bother anyone. That’s when Ismailov’s manager came to see me. He says: “There is such a candidate, he recently won against Shlemenko. » I think: “Maga knows a lot about hype. » This fight received the most media coverage among us, even though it turned out to be a no-brainer. I was complaining about Ilic. In general, we agreed. We gave him a lot of money, which he had never earned in his life. They asked me: “Why are you paying him so much?” » I said it’s hype, it’s interesting, Maga is interested. Ismailov’s manager was the mediator between Ilic and me. As soon as he arrived, we immediately paid him several thousand dollars. Even though he says we didn’t pay him anything at all. And he received it even before the fight. He wanted it in dollars, we gave it to him in that currency. Then comes the fight. I really didn’t like him. What did Ilic say? Was he asked to drop out of the fight between rounds? I! I would come in between rounds and say, “Why don’t you punch?” And in his corner, they say: “He’s tired. ” What ? He never hit. One day he held out his arm and Maga lunged at it. He spoiled the main fight. It’s a terrible fight. I was very angry with him. After the fight, I asked him why. And he sits down and is silent. Well, yes, I made a lot of money and calmed down. I said to myself, “I will give him the money in time.” You’re tired and I’m tired of counting money. In the end, I sent him money for a long time, but it was sent in parts.
Then Ismailov’s manager came to me and said he had made a deal. And he said that he himself gave the money to Ilic. I ask: “Why did you give it to him?” Why did you ruin my fun? He probably got very lucky in the fight with Shlemenko. In my opinion, he lost the fight against Ismailov. But like Magee’s manager gave it back, I gave it all back. Even if I wanted to prolong my pleasure. Then Ilic says to send the money in crypto. And they made a video of them sending it. And a year passed… This man decided to learn a lesson from his shameful fight. And then he said that Pravda hadn’t paid him anything. He’s a complete scammer. I wanted to meet him now in Moscow and ask: “Who didn’t give you a ruble?” This whole industry is used to it: they grind their tongues in front of journalists and go home. And I wanted to ask him: “Who owes you money?” Everyone ran in front of him during the tournament to make it comfortable. He had never seen anything like it in his life. He happened to accidentally beat Shlemenko at the RCC. And he believed he was an athlete. An accident lifted him up, and now his tongue has lowered him below the base. Why did he say that? For a day of glory? To mention? I am very interested to know who will now offer him a fight in Russia. No one should do that. After all, there was a contract, transfers, etc. But he still claims he hasn’t been paid. Who is it? He really is a pure clown. You can tell him,” reports the correspondent of , reporting Tsopanov’s words.
