Hearn: Wilder has never beaten an elite heavyweight. Joshua is several leagues above Deontay

A well-known promoter praised the performance of the American boxer in the fight with Parker

Eddie Hearnpromoter of former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshuacommented on the defeat Deontay Wilder in a fight with Joseph Parker, and also compared his client to an American.

“Parker did everything right. I’ve already said that I’m not going to rate Wilder. Deontay had no idea what to do. He lost 108-120, lost every round, but at the end he raised his hand and said: “I won the fight.” That’s not true,” Hearn said.

“It was the most one-sided heavyweight fight I’ve ever seen. He had no power at the end of the fight. It ruined our plans [на бой с Джошуа в марте]”

“The future is not Deontay Wilder. If anyone was going to ruin our plans, I’m glad it was Joseph Parker and his coach Andy Lee… Was it an upset? Don’t know. I’ve said before that Deontay has never beaten an elite heavyweight. Anthony Joshua is several leagues above Wilder.”

Wilder lost to Parker by unanimous decision at the Day of Reckoning in Riyadh – 111:118, 110:118, 108:120. On the same boxing evening, Joshua confidently defeated Otto Wallin, who refused to continue the fight after the 5th round.

It was previously assumed that Joshua and Wilder could fight together in the spring of 2024 – however, provided that both defeat their opponents in Riyadh on December 23. It was reported that the boxers agreed on a fight on March 9. Now this fight is a big question mark.
