Joshua: We can still do the fight with Wilder, but I will leave this decision at the discretion of the promoters

AJ is ready to fight anyone

Former World Heavyweight Champion Anthony Joshua does not rule out that a fight with Deontay Wilder will still take place, despite the American’s defeat from Joseph Parker.

“I’m not too sure what might happen next, but the fans will be annoyed about it. I always understand what kind of game it is. You never know what will happen. This is elite level boxing. Wilder just suffered a setback, but he lives to fight.”

“We can still make this fight. I believe that I am a serious threat. And Wilder is still a threat. But I will leave this decision to the discretion of my management, coaches, and promoters. I’m ready to fight anyone, anytime.”

Wilder’s defeat casts doubt on the fight between the American and Joshua. It was reported that the boxers agreed to fight on March 9, but for the event to take place, they had to defeat their opponents on the “Day of Reckoning”.

Deontay did not cope with his task, losing to Parker by unanimous decision – 111:118, 110:118, 108:120. Joshua confidently defeated Otto Wallin, who refused to continue the fight after the 5th round.
