Athletistic/MMA. UFC lightweight champion, Russian mixed martial arts fighter Islam Makhachev, responded to American Sean O’Malley’s statement that Leon Edwards would win a face-to-face with the Russian.
“Umar will beat Sugar,” Makhachev wrote on his social media page.
Umar Nurmagomedov trains in the same gym as Islam Makhachev. He has been competing in the UFC since 2021. Umar has four wins and no losses in the American promotion.
Islam Makhachev has 25 wins with one loss in MMA. He fought his last fight on October 21 in Abu Dhabi (UAE), when he knocked out Australian Alexander Volkanovski in the first round at UFC 294. Makhachev’s next fight has not yet been scheduled, but he has already stated that he wants to move up to welterweight and fighting champion Leon Edwards.
