First place went to the fight between Russian Islam Makhachev and Australian Alexander Volkanovski in February at UFC 284. Makhachev won that fight by unanimous decision, successfully defending his world lightweight championship belt. UFC.
In second place was the rematch between Brazilian Alexandre Pantoja and Mexican Brandon Moreno. In July, Pantoja defeated Moreno by split decision to become the new flyweight champion.
Third place went to Mexican Irene Aldana’s victory over Brazilian Carol Rosa at UFC 296 in December.
