The former heavyweight title holder does not want to miss the fight for the absolute champion title.
Anthony Joshua says he plans to watch live the fight for the absolute world champion title in his division between Alexander Usik and Tyson Fury.
The British boxer called the upcoming confrontation special, as it could change the entire situation in the division.
“I will try to attend the Fury-Usyk fight. I don’t usually go to fights, but this is a landmark fight. Once it happens, the heavyweight division will be open again and we will start getting new champions.
Whatever the battle, its result is always tangible. I have big ambitions, so when I win ordinary battles, I don’t celebrate the victory. But I can’t help but celebrate when I became world champion,” Joshua was quoted as saying by The Sun.
We remind you that the fight between Usik and Fury will take place on February 17 in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh.
Previously, Joshua’s promoter called for Fury’s support against Usik.
