Russian promoter Kamil Gadjiev in an interview with , he suggested that the fighter’s manager Alexandra Emelianenko Azamat Bostanov could be released in 2024.
Bostanov was arrested in January 2022 after a conflict with his common-law wife, following which the girl wrote a statement accusing him of rape and battery. Later, the victim dropped the accusations, sharing the accused’s version of a domestic conflict that ended in assault on the part of Bostanov. Despite this, the investigation refused to remove the rape charge from the criminal case. Bostanov was in pre-trial detention for more than 18 months and was found guilty and transferred to a colony at the end of 2023.
– In fact, his time there is insignificant. Most of the charges against him were generally unsuccessful, so I think he will be released in 2024,” Gadjiev told .
