The former world champion considers his compatriot the winner of the fight for the title of absolute champion.
Vyacheslav Senchenko spoke about the controversial defeat of Vasily Lomachenko in the fight against former absolute world lightweight champion Devin Haney.
Throughout the year, the former world champion called his compatriot the true winner of the fight for the title of absolute world champion.
“This year we had megafights. There was a Lomachenko-Haney fight for the absolute, which we were waiting for. I really liked the fight. Lomachenko was probably in his best shape and had one of his best fights in last year.
Haney won. I think Lomachenko won. I think she’s better. But Haney won, so this is what we have,” said Senchenko in an interview with The Glove Show.
It can be remembered that Haney defeated Lomachenko by unanimous decision.
It was previously known when Lomachenko will fight again for the world title.
