The American lost to Joseph Parker in his last fight
Promoter Frank Warren expressed doubts about whether it would be possible to revive the fight of former world champions Anthony Joshua And Deontay Wilder. Warren noted Deontay’s weak performance in his lost fight with Joseph Parker.
“At the end of the day, Wilder looked done. And he put forward various behind-the-scenes reasons, which I listened to, but for which there is no good explanation. If he comes back and fights again and has another performance like that, it will all be over.”

Previously, Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn said that talk of his protégé’s fight with Wilder was no longer relevant. The promoter believes that people’s opinions have changed and Deontay no longer lives up to the level he previously claimed.
It was previously assumed that Wilder would meet Joshua in March. However, the fight fell through due to the American’s defeat by Joseph Parker.
