Former WBO world champion disqualified for four years for doping

Former WBO cruiserweight world champion Krzysztof Glowacki disqualified for four years for violation of anti-doping rules, reports the press service of the British Anti-Doping Agency (UKAD).

Glowacki, 37, was beaten by Briton Richard Riakpore in January 2023 by technical knockout in the fourth round. After the fight, which took place in Manchester, the British anti-doping agency carried out a test on the Pole.

According to UKAD, the banned steroid boldenone was found in the body of the Polish boxer. Glowacki lost the WBO heavyweight title to boxer Oleksandr Usyk on September 17, 2016 in Poland.

In June 2023, the Pole made his MMA debut by eliminating his compatriot Patrick Tolkaczewski in the first round.
