As Emelianenko explained, he was told he had to choose an Arabic name.
Chimaev deleted a post in which he talked about health problems
“Choose, I’ll leave it to you. Abubakar? I don’t see anything wrong, it’s a wonderful name. Now I will be Abubakar,” Emelianenko said in a video he posted on his Telegram channel.
Emelianenko, 42, fought his last fight in May 2023. He defeated blogger Evgeny Ershov.
