Garcia: Tyson disrespected boxing, so I would like Usyk to beat Fury

In February, Tyson and Alexander will fight for the title of absolute world heavyweight champion

Famous trainer Robert Garcia commented on the upcoming fight between the WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO title holder Alexander Usik and WBC champion Tyson Fury for the title of absolute world heavyweight champion.

“I would like Usyk to beat Fury simply because of Tyson’s last performance. I think he disrespected boxing. Fury was completely out of shape. Many people think he lost. I think Fury won, but he should have destroyed Ngannou.”

“I don’t want to say anything bad about MMA fighters, but when my boxers fight them, they already understand that it will be an easy fight. This is what happens in boxing. A lot of MMA fighters want to move into boxing, and these are easy fights for us. I think this time Fury took the fight so lightly that he didn’t even train and showed disrespect for boxing. That’s why I want Usyk to whip him and beat him. But when Tyson is in shape, he is also a very dangerous guy.”

The Ukrainian and the British are preparing in their camps. Fury repeatedly called Usyk a “little rabbit.” The Ukrainian champion responded to this by saying that “Tyson talks a lot.”

The Usik-Fury fight for the title of absolute heavyweight champion will officially take place on February 17 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Initially, the fight was planned to be organized on December 23 in Riyadh. However, it later became clear that Tyson would not have time to prepare for this time after the fight with Francis Ngannou at the end of October.

Fury defeated Ngannou via split decision. It was reported that the Briton received two cuts in a fight with the former UFC champion.

Usik fought his last fight on August 27 in Wroclaw, Poland. The Ukrainian knocked out Daniel Dubois in the 9th round and defended his championship titles.
