The American will return to the ring
British heavyweight Joe Joyce spoke about defeat Deontay Wilder from Joseph Parker. He is confident that the career of the former world champion is not over and the American will return to the ring.
“Knew Parker was a good fighter and would give Wilder some trouble, but thought Deontay could land a big punch in the 10th round. However, in the fight with Parker, Wilder was completely defeated and won confidently.”
“Of course, Wilder will continue his career. He’s a little rusty after being out of the ring for two years, but Parker is a good, skilled fighter. It was a tough fight [для возвращения]. Wilder was under fire all the time, but he is always dangerous. There are many more fights.”
At the end of December, Wilder lost to Parker at the “Day of Reckoning” boxing evening in Riyadh. The New Zealander won by unanimous decision – 118:111, 118:110, 120:108.
Joyce suffered two losses in a row to Chinese heavyweight Zhang Zhilei. The Briton lost his WBO interim title in April 2023 and then lost by knockout in a rematch in September. In 2024, Joe plans to have 2-3 fights.
