UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones indicated that he had undergone elbow surgery.
The fighter is also recovering from a torn pectoral muscle, which forced him to withdraw from his scheduled title defense against Stipe Miocic at UFC 295 in November.
“I had to work on my left elbow.” The operation lasted two hours.
The good news is that the healing process will take about 10 weeks. Anyway, I’ve been out for a few months due to chest surgery, so I figured I’d kill two birds with one stone and take care of that elbow once for all. Sometimes you have to take a step back,” Jones said on social media.
Jones last fought against Cyril Gan in March 2023 at UFC 285. In that fight, John won via first-round submission. He has 27 victories and one defeat in mixed martial arts.
