Russian boxer, former WBC, WBO and IBF light heavyweight champion Sergei Kovalev will fight against the Swede Robin Safar, reports journalist Mike Coppinger on social networks.
According to him, the fight will take place on February 17 in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) as part of a boxing evening, which will be headlined by the fight between the British Tyson Fury and the Ukrainian Alexander Usik.
The Russian also confirmed on the social network that he is preparing to fight on February 17. He said that he was undergoing training at the Uzbekistan national team site.
Kovalev is 40 years old and has a record of 35 wins, four losses and one draw. In his last fight in May 2022, Kovalev defeated Tervel Pulev by unanimous decision. Safar, 31, has 16 fights and 16 victories.
