Beterbiev: The winner of the Usyk-Fury fight will be the one who can better prepare for the fight

Beterbiev himself is betting on the “Gypsy King”

World champion according to WBC, WBO and IBF light heavyweight titles Artur Beterbiev commented on the upcoming fight for the title of absolute world heavyweight champion between the holder of the WBO/WBA/IBF/IBO heavyweight titles Alexander Mustache and WBC champion Tyson Fury.

“Alexander does his job very well. He’s great. Before the Usyk-Joshua fight, I said that Anthony would win. I bet on him because he is a real heavyweight. Now I think that Fury will defeat Usik, but whoever prepares better will win.”

The Usik-Fury fight for the title of absolute heavyweight champion will officially take place on February 17 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Initially, the fight was planned to be organized on December 23 in Riyadh. However, it later became clear that Tyson would not have time to prepare for this time after the fight with Francis Ngannou at the end of October.

There are two known fights that will take place on the undercard of the Usyk-Fury meeting. IBF world super featherweight champion Joe Cordina from Wales and IBO title holder Anthony Cacace from Northern Ireland, as well as former world light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev and hitherto undefeated Swede Robin Safar will take to the ring.

Fury defeated Ngannou via split decision. It was reported that the Briton received two cuts in a fight with the former UFC champion.

Usik fought his last fight on August 27 in Wroclaw, Poland. The Ukrainian knocked out Daniel Dubois in the 9th round and defended his championship titles.
