Nikitin is a bronze medalist of the 2016 Olympic Games in the weight category up to 56 kg, as well as a silver medalist of the 2013 World Championship and a bronze medalist of the 2013 European Championship in the same weight. For his outstanding sporting achievements, Nikitin was awarded the honorary title of “Honored Master of Sports of Russia”, as well as the medal “For Services to the Fatherland” of the second degree.
