Former challenger for the WBA light heavyweight title Umar Salamov hope that Antoine Joshua will knock out a mixed style fighter Francis Ngannou in a fight according to the rules of boxing.
The Joshua-Ngannou fight is scheduled to take place on March 8 in Saudi Arabia.
“I really want Joshua to knock out Ngannou, so that later no one asks the question that an MMA guy can beat a boxer. Tyson Fury hit so hard that there was talk Ngannou almost got sued. It was unpleasant to listen to,” Salamov told Metaratings.ru.
On October 28, Ngannou fought the first boxing match of his career, in which he lost to British WBC world champion Tyson Fury by split decision.
Joshua is a former IBF, WBA, WBO and IBO world heavyweight champion.
