Russian boxer Evgeny Romanov will face Chinese Zhang Zhaoxin in Yekaterinburg on February 10. was informed of this by the RCC Boxing Promotions press service.
Romanov has 19 victories (12 by KO). Romanov, who beat Deontay Wilder earlier than expected as an amateur, last stepped into the ring in September, also in Yekaterinburg, when he beat Venezuelan Wilmer Vazquez by unanimous decision.
Zhaoxin has 11 wins, two losses and one draw. The Chinese boxed for the WBA cruiserweight belt in 2021, but lost to Belgian Riyad Merhi.
Romanov is ranked second in the WBA bridgeweight rankings (up to 101.6 kg) and Zhaoxin is fourth.
The first line of this ranking remains vacant and the WBA champion of this division is the Russian Evgeniy Tishchenko.
