Fury’s father: Tyson will return to the ring if Joshua wins over Usyk

World heavyweight champion previously announced his retirement

John Fury, father of WBC world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, believes that his son will return to the ring. The main condition for the boxer will be the victory of Anthony Joshua over Oleksandr Usyk in a rematch.

“It all depends on what happens in the fight between Joshua and Usyk. If Anthony wins, the game will continue. Do I think Tyson will return? Yes,” John said.

“You can never say never. As a boxer, he spent little time with his family and children. Now he enjoys with them, but this will not last long.

He tells me he’s done, but no one knows Tyson as well as I do. He lives an ordinary life, but one day he will get tired of it.

“He will have several exhibition fights. However, if Anthony defeats Alexander, which is very difficult, then Tyson will not be able to resist, ”added the father of the champion.

Tyson announced his retirement from professional football after a convincing victory over Dillian Whyte in April. At the same time, the Briton has not yet vacated the WBC championship belt.

Fury has previously stated that he wants to hold exhibition fights and plans to meet with Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, Frank Bruno, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

Tyson himself stated that he could return to the ring if Joshua succeeds. John Fury also expressed support for Anthony.

The second fight between Usyk and Joshua will take place on August 20 in Saudi Arabia. The fight will be broadcast live on the DAZN streaming platform.

Last fall, Usyk defeated Joshua by unanimous decision to become world heavyweight champion for the first time.
