The Briton wants to fight the “Gypsy King” in the future
Former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua believes that the holder of the WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO titles Alexander Usik will have an advantage in the fight with the WBC champion Tyson Fury.
“It will be a good fight. I think Usyk has the advantage.”
“It doesn’t bother me too much. I just want them both to be healthy when they leave the ring. It’s a tough sport. So that’s all I can ask for, to make sure they leave the ring healthy.”
“As far as how it happens, it doesn’t affect my life at all. I’m not one of those fans who starts crying because someone wins or loses. It is what it is. Tomorrow will come anyway. Good luck to both of them.”
“I would like to fight Tyson Fury next. I think this is the best fight for the fans and for me.”
The Usik-Fury fight for the title of absolute heavyweight champion will officially take place on February 17 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Initially, the fight was planned to be organized on December 23 in Riyadh. However, it later became clear that Tyson would not have time to prepare for this time after the fight with Francis Ngannou at the end of October.
Joshua will fight Ngannou next. The fight is scheduled to take place on March 9 in Riyadh.
