The legendary heavyweight gave his forecast for the Usyk-Fury fight
Prominent former heavyweight Lennox Lewis assessed the chances of the WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO title holder in the Royal Division Alexandra Usika in a duel against the WBC champion Tyson Fury. According to the British boxer, his compatriot is the favorite of the fight.
“I’m looking forward to welcoming Fury or Usyk to the club of absolute champions. I’m glad they decided to make history. The fight should be great. The good big guy beats the good little guy. Fury has the advantage,” Lewis said.
The Usik-Fury fight for the title of absolute heavyweight champion will officially take place on February 17 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Initially, the fight was planned to be organized on December 23 in Riyadh. However, it later became clear that Tyson would not have time to prepare for this time after the fight with Francis Ngannou at the end of October.
Fury defeated Ngannou via split decision. It was reported that the Briton received two cuts in a fight with the former UFC champion.
Usik fought his last fight on August 27 in Wroclaw, Poland. The Ukrainian knocked out Daniel Dubois in the 9th round and defended his championship titles.
