Previously, Nurmagomedov denied rumors that appeared in the media regarding his return.
— Khabib told us he turned down $40 million. He said they offered him $40 million to come back and fight in the UFC. I don’t know how many fights he had in mind, I don’t know which tournament. He just said, ‘I turned down $40 million, bro, I’m done,'” Cormier said in a YouTube podcast.
Nurmagomedov retired in 2020 after defeating Justin Gaethje at UFC 254. His professional record is 29-0.
