Former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov expressed hope that discussions about his return to the promotion will end soon.
Earlier, ex-fighter Chael Sonnen said that the Russian could fight Leon Edwards at UFC 300, but Nurmagomedov denied this information. On Thursday, commentator Daniel Cormier reported that the Russian had turned down the UFC’s $40 million offer to resume his career.
“I hope that one day these conversations will end,” Nurmagomedov wrote on the social network.
Nurmagomedov retired in 2020 after defeating Justin Gaethje at UFC 254. His professional record is 29-0.
