The Ukrainian title belt was not played in battle
Ukrainian boxer, UBO world champion junior welterweight Nazri Rahimov (13-3, 7 KOs) won the representative’s rating fight Moldova Gennady Gitlan (3-7, 0 KO).
The meeting lasted all eight rounds, after which Ragimov won by unanimous decision. Note that the Ukrainian belt, which Nazri won by knockout over Irving Berry last summer, was not up for grabs in the reporting fight.
The fight between Ragimov and Gitlan took place as part of a big boxing evening in Kyiv, which was organized by the promotion company SpartaBox Faniian Promotions. The results of the first fights of the event can be viewed Here.
The central event of the event will be the fight for the WBF junior welterweight title between Ukrainian Aram Fanian and Mexican Francisco Mercado. A free broadcast of the boxing evening at the Kiev Sports Palace is available on the MEGOGO platform.
The goal of the charity boxing evening is to raise 5,000,000 UAH for the UNITED24 project to restore a sports school in Nikolaev. The event will also include an auction with valuable sports and military lots, and the proceeds from it will be transferred to the consolidated paramilitary patrol police unit named after. Nestor Makhno and the Shock Company of the BpAK “Combat Khrushchi”. The host of the auction is Ukrainian actor and showman Yuri Gorbunov.
