Roy Jones predicted the outcome of the Bivol-Beterbiev fight

Former undisputed light heavyweight world champion Roy Jones Jr. say why Dmitri Bivol could win a potential fight with Artur Beterbiev .

In January, Beterbiev beat Briton Callum Smith and defended the WBC, IBF and WBO light heavyweight belts. Bivol holds the WBA title in this weight category. Previously, 38-year-old Beterbiev had repeatedly stated that he wanted to wage a unification fight with Bivol.

– If Bivol manages to dodge his attacks for two or three rounds, then he will win. However, if Bivol decides to fight him, he won’t be able to win because no one in this division will fight Beterbiev one-on-one at the moment.

If you decide to fight Beterbiev, you will get a knockout. It’s completely obvious. But with Bivol’s footwork you can make him move before he throws his punch, then it will be a little more difficult for Beterbiev because he can punch while standing. But can he do it as effectively when forced to move? Can he demonstrate mobility and maintain his striking power? that’s a big question.

So in a long fight, if Bivol makes it past the second round, I would say he can win the fight. But if Bivol chooses the wrong strategy, then Arthur will win,” Jones said according to Boxingnews24.
