Russian fighter Ikram Aliskerov announced that he had withdrawn from the fight against American Anthony Hernandez at the UFC 298 tournament due to elbow problems.
Aliskerov and Hernandez were scheduled to face each other on February 18 in a middleweight fight at UFC 298 in Anaheim (United States).
“I tried to treat my elbow for four weeks, but the infection didn’t go away. The team and I decided to withdraw from the fight. “I will try to come back soon,” Aliskerov wrote on the social network.
Aliskerov, 31, fought his last fight in October 2023 at UFC 294 in Abu Dhabi, when he defeated Brazilian Varley Alves by first-round knockout. The fighter has 15 victories in his career with one defeat.
