Mixed martial artist representing the United Arab Emirates Khamzat Chimaev has invited the UFC’s new middleweight champion, South African Drikus Du Plessis, to fight at the organization’s tournament in April.
Du Plessis defeated American Sean Strickland on Saturday at UFC 297 in Toronto, Canada, to become the organization’s new champion.
“See you at UFC 300, Biplisi,” Chimaev wrote on the social network X, distorting the South African’s last name.
The UFC 300 tournament will take place on April 13 in Las Vegas.
