Warren: Fury’s goal is to fight Usyk-Joshua rematch winner

Famous promoter doesn’t see how Joshua can beat Usyk

Promoter Frank Warren believes WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs) will return to boxing for a fight with the winner of the rematch Oleksandr Usyk – Anthony Joshua.

“We will see what will happen after the Usyk-Joshua rematch. He’s really intriguing. Everyone is interested, including me and Tyson. I think this is a tough fight for AJ. I don’t know what he can add to his arsenal to beat this guy. I think Usyk has the password to access it.”

“Whoever wins, I think Tyson will come back to fight the winner. Although my heart may be wrong.

“I talked to him about his plans, but I don’t want to go into it too much. Tyson is a fighter, he loves to fight. He continues to train, and in order to continue to do so, you need to have a goal. His goal will be a duel with the winner. It’s my opinion”.

The rematch between Usyk and Joshua will take place on August 20 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The fight will be broadcast live on the DAZN streaming platform.

Last fall, Usyk defeated Joshua by unanimous decision to become world heavyweight champion for the first time.
