McGregor won’t compete in UFC in June, says White

Former UFC champion in two weight categories, Irish Conor McGregor will not perform at UFC tournament in June, promotion head says Dana White .

At the end of December, McGregor published a video on social networks in which he announced a fight with American Michael Chandler at the UFC tournament in Las Vegas, which will be held on June 29. However, this has not been officially announced. Additionally, a promotional tournament in Saudi Arabia had already been postponed until the summer; this option was also considered in the media as a possible comeback for McGregor.

– Fight in June? No. When Conor is ready to fight, you know we will announce it. That’s what we’ll do,” White said according to MMA Mania.

McGregor, 35, fought his last fight in July 2021 against American Dustin Poirier and lost by technical knockout, suffering from a broken leg. In total, McGregor has won 22 victories and suffered six defeats in mixed martial arts.
