Athletistic/MMA. Russian MMA fighter and UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev shared his opinion on American mixed martial arts fighter Frankie Edgar. The 42-year-old American ended his sporting career in November 2022.

“One of my favorite fighters. A legend!” — wrote Makhachev on his social media page, attaching a photo of Edgar.

In 2010, Frankie Edgar became the UFC lightweight champion, and then successfully defended his title three times. In total, he fought 36 fights in MMA, won 24 victories, suffered 11 defeats, and another fight with his participation ended in a draw. Edgar will be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2024.

Islam Makhachev in MMA has won 25 victories with one defeat. Makhachev’s next fight has not yet been scheduled, but he has already stated that he wants to move up to welterweight and fighting champion Leon Edwards.
