Olympic champion and world champion according to WBA in the weight category up to 101.6 kg Russian Yevgeny Tishchenko joined the technical staff of the Gamers of Future team, which will participate in the “Games of the Future”, reports the tournament press service.
Tishchenko, together with MMA fighter Ivan Shtyrkov, will prepare the team for performances in the discipline of physical martial arts. The Gamers of Future team will be represented by MMA fighters: Denis Lavrentyev, Timur Nagibin, Ilyas Khamzin, as well as world sambo champion Lyubov Salnikova
Tishchenko, 32, is the 2016 Olympic champion; he has 13 victories and one defeat in the professional ring.
The international physical sports tournament “Games of the Future” will be held in Kazan from February 21 to March 3, 2024. The sports program includes competitions in 21 disciplines at 10 sports facilities in Kazan and Sochi. The opening ceremony will take place on February 21 and the closing ceremony of the competition will take place on March 3. The competition will be broadcast on the channels of the sub-holding, as well as on streaming platforms.
