The Swedish heavyweight is betting on the “Gypsy King”, but believes that his fight with the Ukrainian champion will be extremely interesting
Swedish heavyweight boxer Otto Wallin gave another forecast for the unification fight between the WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO champion Alexander Usik and WBC title holder Tyson Fury.
“I think it will be interesting. After my fight with Joshua, after I saw what Usik did to him, I respect Alexander even more. He beat Joshua twice.”
“It will be a very good fight. I always said Fury would probably win. I still think so. But I think it will be a really good and very interesting fight if it happens.”
Let us remind you that Wallin lost to former world champion Anthony Joshua as part of a big boxing evening on December 23 in Saudi Arabia. The Briton won by technical knockout after five rounds.
The Usyk-Fury fight will officially take place on February 17. The title of absolute heavyweight champion will be at stake. Initially, the fight was planned to be organized on December 23 in Riyadh. However, it later became clear that the “Gypsy King” would not have time to prepare for this time after the fight with Francis Ngannou at the end of October.
Usik fought his last fight on August 27 in Wroclaw, Poland. The Ukrainian knocked out Daniel Dubois in the 9th round and defended his championship titles.
Fury defeated Ngannou via split decision. It was reported that the Briton received two cuts in a fight with the former UFC champion.
