Fury’s dad: Joshua would have handled Usyk if he’d asked for Tyson’s advice

John Fury is confident that the approach of the coaches of the British will not work against Alexander

John Fury, father of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, believes Anthony Joshua could have beaten Oleksandr Usyk in his first fight. To do this, the Briton had to take the advice of his son.

“If AJ had listened to Tyson and let him help, Usyk wouldn’t have been a problem in the first fight. But now he is a problem, ”said the father of the champion.

“Do I think Joshua’s trainers plan will work? Not with a boxer like Usyk. He is a special fighter, very talented. A small detail can defeat him. I don’t think Joshua’s team will notice her.”

“Now AJ is in more trouble than the first fight because Usyk already knows him. He also knows his strengths, what he can and cannot do. His team will work on the weaknesses.”

“Heavyweight boxing is one punch. Anthony has it. But Usyk is very slippery, always moving. It is inconvenient for everyone.

As far as I know, Tyson offered his advice to Anthony. And he’s still waiting for an answer, but he won’t chase him, ”said Fury Sr.

The second fight between Usyk and Joshua will take place on August 20 in Saudi Arabia. The fight will be broadcast live on the DAZN streaming platform.

Last fall, Usyk defeated Joshua by unanimous decision to become world heavyweight champion for the first time.
