Freestyle wrestler Zaur Uguev won gold at the international tournament “Ivan Yarygin Cup”, which takes place in Krasnoyarsk.
In the final, the Olympic champion, in the weight category up to 57 kg, beat his compatriot Musa Mehtikhanov. Akhmed Idrisov (Russia) and Gulomjon Abdullaev (Uzbekistan) won the bronze medals.
In the weight category up to 61 kg, the world champion, Russian Abasgadzhi Magomedov, who in the final was stronger than Muslim Mehtikhanov (Russia), won. Sardor Ruzimov (Uzbekistan) and Kezhik Mongush (Russia) won bronze. European champion Kurban Shiraev (Russia) won the tournament in the weight category up to 70 kg, his compatriot Inalbek Sheriev took silver. Bronze medalists – Magomed Khaniev (Azerbaijan) and Aisen Potapov (Russia).
Among women, the victories were won by Russians Maria Tyumerekova (up to 50 kg), Anastasia Sidelnikova (up to 59 kg) and Dinara Kudaeva (up to 65 kg). Amina Tandelova won silver (up to 65 kg), bronze medals were won by Polina Lukina and Natalya Pudova (up to 50 kg), Alexandra Skirenko (up to 55 kg), Svetlana Lipatova (up to ‘to 59 kg) and Elizaveta Petlyakova (up to 65 kg).
The Ivan Yarygin Cup will last until January 28.
