Former UFC champion in two weight categories Conor McGregor said he was close to closing a deal for a fight at the UFC 300 tournament.
At the end of December, McGregor published a video on social networks in which he announced a fight with American Michael Chandler at the UFC tournament in Las Vegas, which will be held on June 29. However, this has not been officially announced. Additionally, a promotional tournament in Saudi Arabia was postponed until the summer; this option was also considered in the media as a possible comeback for McGregor. McGregor, 35, fought his last fight in July 2021 against American Dustin Poirier and lost by technical knockout, suffering from a broken leg. In total, McGregor has won 22 victories and suffered six defeats in mixed martial arts.
